We drove up there on Friday, the 1st to celebrate fourth of july with my family and to attend my ten year high school reunion. That was interesting. There were quite a few people there, and it was kinda crazy to see how much some of the people I had gone to high school with had changed, and then there were so many to looked just the same as they did in high school. I had also found out that a couple of my class mates had passed away that I was not aware of, one of them I had shared some classes with and he was a really fun guy. :(
I got to meet my sister Beth's new boyfriend Richard. He is a good guy but my enemy when it comes to playing Phase 10. He kept kicking my butt. I'll get him :D Fourth of July was fun, we had a lot of people over at dad's house for a bbq and kids had fun playing. We also took the kids to the Canyon 4th of July parade. Aiden had a mini Birthday party while we were up there. Kris's best friend and his family showed up. :D Thanks guys.
I got to see some of my friends while I was up there. One of them it was the first time I had see her in over two years. Missed her a lot.
The house we had a contract on, had it's inspection today. It went well. There were a few minor things that need to be fixed but nothing major. So we are excited about that. If everything else goes well, we will be moving in August to our new home :D I have a lot of painting to do. The kitchen's current color is yellow, that isn't gonna stay like that for long. :D The kids' rooms are going to be painted too and so will the master bedroom. Everyone is doing well and we are excited. Love to all
Lindsey

This is getting old!!
Well we just heard back that the seller of house number four would lower the price to 5k less than original asking price but she won't make any of the repairs that we requested. (20k in repairs). So we are withdrawing our offer and on the hunt again. I think we are going to look in a bit higher price range but that way we can possible find a house that doesn't need anything done to it. I took Kris to see Monty Python Spamalot! He loved it and it was pretty funny if I do say so myself. We had a good time. We took the train into Dallas, and we saw the show, and then we rode the train into West end and had dinner at Spaghetti Warehouse. Very yummy, and then after dinner we waited outside in the 105 degree heat for an hour for our train to take us back to our car which we left in Irving. But it turned out to be a great day. We heard from our realtor that the seller of the house we put an offer on, will be in town on Tuesday and should have an answer for us by then. Keeping our fingers crossed that we hear good news. This house hunting experience has been so draining this time around. I would like to take a moment to let all of my friends and family who read this and who are dads or have ever been a dad, that I wish them all a very Happy Father's day! Especially to my dad, whom I love so very much and appreciate everything that he has ever done for me and my family. I would not be the same person if I hadn't had him as my dad. I miss you dad and can't wait to see you in July! I have my brother David over at my house today. He came over for father's day. We are going to grill up some steaks and corn on the cob for dinner. I hope all is well with everyone.
Love to all.
Lindsey

Well we put an offer in on the house that needed major electrical work. We just asked that the seller have it taken care of. We just heard from our realtor that we won't have an answer until Tuesday. This is going to be a long weekend. On a higher note, Lexi has been showing great interest in potty training. For the past three days she has been using the potty. Not every time she has to go but she has used it everyday these past few days. I told her that I would buy her some pull ups or panties so she could go whenever she wanted to and not have to wait for me to take off her diaper. The potty chair that we have, makes music when something goes into the bowl. So she gets excited when she hears that music. We used the same potty chair on Aiden when he was little. Although he figured out if he just poured water into the potty that the music would go off so we had to keep an eye on him. lol. Saturday I am taking Kris somewhere for his father's day present. As far as I know, he doesn't know where I am taking him yet and I can't post it on here yet cause he reads my blogs :D I'll let you know how it goes after he knows. I am really looking forward to my trip back home to see my family and my friends. I hope I will get to see everyone. Yesterday, the kids and I went swimming with Aiden's friend Nathan and his mom and sister. We had a fun time. My kids love being in the water. We are all starting to look a little dark :D Many of my friends are jealous of how well me and my kids tan. Well that is all for now. I will write later. Happy father's day to all of my Father family and friends. Love to all
Lindsey

Wow! Has it really been since October that I last posted a blog?? I am sorry guys. Things have been quite busy. In February we starting house hunting for a place to buy. Since then, we have put offers in on three houses. The first one, the seller would not agree to terms so we have to move on. The second one, our offer was 3 hours too late, the seller had accepted an offer earlier in the day. The third one, it had too much work to do on it that the seller would not fix so we had to walk away, and we have been looking at a fourth and today we found out that it needs over 13 thousand dollars of electrical work done to it. I am so frustrated and tired of all the disappointment this house buying journey has caused for us.
The kids are doing well. Aiden will be moving on to the first grade in August and he will be turning six on July 12th. I let him have a mohawk for the summer :D I know silly but he loves it. It will be coming off before school starts back up. Alexis is 21 months old now. She is off the charts when it comes to her height. I have had to put her in size 2t clothes because she is so long. Her hair is getting really long too. I make bows for her as a hobby and I love that she uses them and doesn't pull them out of her hair. I started putting bows in her hair the day she was born so she is just use to them. Last month we all went to my cousin's wedding in Oklahoma. It was so nice to see all of my family and spend time with them. The kids had fun too playing with my cousin's kids and my sister's kids. They don't get to see their cousins very often because we do live so far away. Not like when I was a kid and my cousins were like my other siblings. We saw each other every weekend at Grandma's house.
Kris is doing well at his job. He still likes it and he has been there for 3.5 years now. I am still loving being a stay at home mom. We will be going to Amarillo on July 1st. My ten year high school reunion is the 2nd and I am going to that. We will be having a get together on the 3rd for Aiden's birthday while we are in Amarillo. Kris took a week off from work so we could visit our friends and family up in the panhandle.
I think that I need to blog more to express my feelings. I am so frustrated from the whole house thing I want to punch a hole in the wall.
I hope everyone is doing well and call or text me if you feel like talking, if you don't have my number, shoot me a message. Love to all
Lindsey

Hello my dear blog followers. Here it is October. Alexis is 13 months old now. She is walking all over the place now. We had a birthday party for her in September and it was fun. I had a ducky themed birthday cake and I had a mini ball pit, and Lexi got a bunch of new toys that she loves playing with. She has been growing up so fast. Aiden is five and he is a kindergartner now. He loves school and his school mates. He is doing well for the most part. He was sick last week with strep throat. Luckily nobody else in the house got it. We have been getting ready for Halloween. Kris has decided to dress up like a pirate, Aiden is going to be a vampire, and Alexis is going to be a lady bug. I have no idea what I am doing yet. I went to three store yesterday looking for a costume and just didn't find anything that I wanted. So I still have a week. We are going to Austin this upcoming weekend to go to a friend's wedding. I am a bride's maid. We will be coming home for Halloween though. Alexis has five teeth now, and I know she has many more coming soon cause she is drooling everywhere again. She knows a few words, she says Momma, Dada, Bubba, and she has said ball and Night night lately. She loves her Daddy and bubba so much. She will follow both of them around. She likes her dogs too. She will feed Sadie food from off of her high chair. So I have to put the dogs out when dinner time rolls around. I am doing fine. Keeping busy with Lex, and Aiden with his soccer season. I am team manager again, third season in a row. Our soccer team has not won any games yet this season, but we still have two games left. I think we could at least get one :) Kris is doing well as coach to our son's team. He has kinda been stressing about our lack of winnings but what is important is that the kids have fun. We have been having vehicle trouble. Kris bought a truck a while back and we found out shortly after that it had a cracked block in the engine. Stinks. So we are trying to come up with solutions for that. Well I am gonna go for now. I will try to make it a habit to try and blog at least once a month. I hope all is well with everyone. God bless.
Lindsey

I am sorry that I don't blog much anymore. It is difficult to get enough me time to do things like this. Alexis is a little more than 9 months old now. She is crawling like a pro and stands, by pulling herself up on the furniture. I think that she will be walking very soon. She is such a bright little girl. She is so funny too. My husband will go in to give her a kiss and she will turn her head away at the last second so he kisses her cheek instead, but if he politely asks her for a kiss, she will give him one. Her hair is getting long, but only on the top. It is short on the bottom and comes down past her nose on top. So I put it in a "pebbles" ponytail on top of her head. It is so cute. Aiden is growing up so fast. He finished pre-school in May and will be going to Kindergarten in August. I am so proud of that boy. We had to take him to the Emergency room a couple of weeks ago because he was running and fell, and smacked his head on the concrete driveway. As soon as we brought him in the house, he wanted to go to sleep. I certainly didn't let him do that. So we went to the hospital. By the time the doctor came to see Aiden, he felt fine. They did a neurological test on him to make sure he didn't have a concussion and he passed it. Aiden tends to share everything with his baby sister, including colds, and pink eye. We have had pink eye with these kids twice since Lex was born. But we got it under control with eye drops and hand washing. Aiden has a new pet. A gerbil named Pepper. Aiden loves to take pepper out and hold him and play with him. He does pretty good. We enrolled Aiden in swim lessons. He did well and passed Level 1. Before swim lessons, we had soccer season. Kris is the coach of our team and I am the team manager. We had a fun season and look forward to doing it again in the fall. We are trying hard to keep cool here in Dallas. The high temperatures all week are in the 100's. Aiden likes to go swimming and play in the sprinklers. Kris and I are doing great. Still madly in love and grow more and more in love everyday. I hope all is well with everyone and hope to hear from you :) love to all .. Has it really been almost five months since I had my baby?? I am sorry it has taken me so long to update my blog. As you can understand things have been very busy with a new baby and my son now in Preschool. Aiden has adapted very well to being a big brother. He is terrific at it. He loves his sister and is a big help when we need him to be. Alexis is getting very big. At her four month check up she weighed 14.4 pounds and was 26 inches tall. The doctors say she is in the 90th percentile in length, meaning she is pretty tall for her age. I took her to the doctor last week for a rash and when they weighed her then, she was 16.8 pounds. That was two weeks after her 4 month check up. She is growing like a weed. She tries to turn over but only makes it half way onto her side. She loves to stand while holding on to my fingers. She is such a big girl. We fed her baby cereal for the first time a couple days ago. She wasn't too sure about it but on the second day of feeding it to her, she would take a bite and if I didn't give he another bite quick enough, she would get all excited and kick her little legs and wave her hands till I gave her another one. Lol. She is too cute. Aiden, Lex and I went to visit my Grandmother a few weeks ago. I wanted Grandma to meet Lex and Aiden wanted to see his Great Grandma again. I have found that traveling with two kids, one being an infant, is rather difficult and makes it take longer to get to where I am going. We went to Amarillo for Thanksgiving and Christmas and the trip usually takes us about 6 hours on average. Well this time it took an average of 8 to 9 hours. Crazy I tell ya. Having to stop because Lex doesn't want to be in her carseat anymore or her needing to eat. I can't just buy her a happy meal and let her eat while I sitll drive. I have to stop and feed her :D Kris was hired by another team at Neiman Marcus that will not be outsourced....at least not this year. :D So we are safe for now. That took a lot of worry away knowing he will still have a job when his current position is gone. Aiden is doing pretty good in school, still has some issues when it comes to memorization but he is 4. If you want to know something that I am leaving out. just email me and I will answer any questions. I am doing ok, just tired but I will live :D. I went to the doctor on September 3rd just to get my blood pressure checked. It was Aiden's first day of school. Kris and I dropped Aiden off and then Kris went to work and I drove to my doctor's appointment. When I got there, they took my blood pressure three times. Then they had me wait in a room for the doctor. The night before I had to collect 24 hours worth of urine for a test to see if I had pre-eclampsia. When the doctor came into the room, he came in shaking his head. He said, "Not good Lindsey". He said your blood pressure is high, so I want you to go to the hospital so they can monitor your blood pressure and also so they can do the pre-eclampsia test on your urine. I asked him if I could go pick Aiden up from school first and he would not even let me do that. He said that he didn't want me driving more than I had to with the high blood pressure. So I went to the hospital and called Kris and told him that he would have to pick up Aiden and go by the house and pick up my hospital bags. When I got to the hospital, they got me into a room and hooked me up to a blood pressure cuff, and a monitor to hear Alexis' heart beat. I was there for three hours when the doctor came in and told me that the urine test had come back positive for pre-eclampsia and that he wanted me to stay in the hospital until I was 37 weeks pregnant. I was only two days away from that. So I stayed there till Sunday morning when they induced my labor. I got an epidural around nine a.m. and it lasted till about one p.m. and then I was getting very uncomfortable. They gave me another does of the epidural but it did not help so they took out the epidural and re-did it. When they were done re-doing it, the nurse checked my dialation progress and told me I was ready to push. I could feel nothing. I pushed for three contractions and nine pushes later, I was holding my precious baby girl. I bursted into tears the moment I saw her little face. I was so happy that she was here and was ok. Kris kinda chuckled at my reaction to seeing her. She was six pounds and eleven ounces, and was 20.25 inches tall born at 2:36 pm. So that is my birth story. We have been home for almost two weeks and we are doing well. She has taken to breast feeding like a pro. Hope all is well for everyone. Love to all. He can walk without pain, he can drive, and most importantly, he can play with his son! I am so glad that I have my husband back. Those last six months with him hurting were really hard. To see someone you love so much in that kind of pain, and nothing you can do for him to help relieve it was just so hard. So of course two weeks after his surgery, I get sick. My allergies got so bad that I was in bed for almost a week but Kris being as wonderful as he is, took care of me, the house and our son without complaint. I am still kinda having a hard time breathing at night but I will live. Yesterday I finished going through all the clothes I have gotten from different people for Alexis. She has so many clothes for the first six months of her life that I doubt she will be able to wear them all before she grows out of them. Someone suggested to me, to let her wear one outfit a day and then never again so that way she has a chance to wear everything at least once. We will see if that will work. Aiden is doing well. He starts school the first week of September and he is super excited about that. He also will be starting soccer the week before that. Busy, busy little boy. I had a 3-D sonogram done of Alexis a couple of weeks ago and they are awesome looking. I will post a couple. I hope all is well with everyone and love to all. Sorry it has been so long since I have posted a blog. Things have been pretty crazy these past few months. Let me start off by saying that the baby is doing fine. Growing like she is suppose to. I have been having some problems lately with swelling and pelvic pain and I have been to a chiropractor for the pain but it has not seem to be helping. Other than that, I am fine and not having any major problems with the surgery. Our due date is still expected to be September 27th. I hope she comes before that.
Aiden just turned 4 last week. He has gotten so big and has grown quite a personality. The other day, I was crying because I was having a really bad day and of course my hormones make me extra emotional. Aiden came up to me and said, mommy are you alright? I said yes, I am just having a bad day. He said, aww, it will be alright momma, give me a hug, and he held out his little arms and hugged me, and crawled into my chair with me to comfort me. He is such a sweetie. He got a new bicycle for his birthday and a new helmet and pads to go with it. He loves his new bike. He also got a new V-tech computer for kids to help him learn his ABC's and 123's and lots of other things. We have gotten him enrolled in pre-school starting September 4th. He is really excited about going to school. He will be going three days a week for half days. Such a big boy.
As some of you know, Kris has been having problems with his back. The pain started in late December and has gotten worse and worse. Back in February he went to a doctor to find out what was going on. They did an MRI on him and found out that he had a herniated disc between his number4 and 5 vertibrae. The disc was pushing on his siatic nerve causing him servere stabbing pains in his left leg. The pain managment specialist that he was seeing, suggested giving him steroid shots to see if that would help. He got his first shot in March. It didn't seem to help much. He got another shot six weeks later, and that one seem to give him some relief. Two months after that he got his third. Not much more relief than his second. He was doing alright for a while. We went to Amarillo for the 4th of July. While we were there, some events happend that required Kris to do something that he could not normally do because of his back, but it involved him having a hydrenaline rush to save someone and he jumped off a desk, and landed on his feet. He didn't feel it when it happened, but apparently when he his the floor, the pressure on his discs was too much and it re-ruptured it. He was in extreme pain from that evening on till we got back home. He was out of work for a week. He went back to his pain management specialist and they gave him another steroid shot with a double dose this time. It help a little with the pain but we knew things were worse than they had been before. So we went to see a nerosurgeon. The doctor told us that there was a procedure called a microdiscetomy. It is a day surgery where they go in a cut a two inch incision by his 4th and 5th vertibrae and remove the herniated part of the disc so it does not push on his siatic nerve anymore. So here it is Friday, July 17th and I am sitting in the waiting room of the hospital, waiting for him to get out of surgery. I really hope that it works so that Kris can be Kris again. I think I have almost forgotten what it is like to have a husband who is not in pain all the time. If all goes well, the doctor said that he will be out of surgery in an hour. He will need to be on strict bedrest for at least a week, and then he will be fully recovered in about a month. Keep us in your prayers please. I will send an update sometime after his surgery. Love you all and God bless.

So some scary stuff happened to me on Friday. Me and a friend of mine who I had not seen in 13 years were catching up standing in my uncle's driveway. She was fixing to go back home. As we were talking, I felt three different things: 1. I needed to go to the bathroom, 2. I was hungry, and 3. I feel like I need to throw up. In the middle of a her story, I put my hand on my car and said, "I am going to throw up". Her reply was, "Are you serious?" That was the last thing I remember until I heard her saying, "Lindsey! Lindsey! Are you ok? I think you just had a seizure!" While I heard her saying this, all I could see was like being in a shaky black tube, and I shook my head and said, "What happened?" She told me that after I put my hand on the car and said I needed to throw up, that I made a gaggy face, and then slumped against the car and fell to the ground, the whole time my eyes and mouth were wide open and then my body started convulsing. When I came back around and could see again, I saw the look on her face and she was terrified and then I saw the look on my son's face, and he said, "Mommy? are you ok?" I asked Chelsey if my nose was bleeding cause I felt something running but she said it wasn't. She asked me if I have seizures and I said no, and then she asked what she needed me to do. I told her to go get my uncle and tell him what happened. He came out and asked me if I had eaten today. I told him the last time I ate was around 1pm and at this point it was almost 7pm. He said I bet it's your blood sugar. So he went inside and got his blood sugar kit and took my blood sugar. It was at 69 which is very low. So they got me some juice and grapes to help it go up. While I was eating, I had Chelsey call Kris to tell him what had happened. He said at first, he thought that she was joking, but when he heard me ask in the background to see if the Ponca City Hospital was on our Insurance Network, his response was, " I don't give a sh*t if it is on our network, get her to the F*cking hospital". I could tell he was scared for me, I was scared. After I ate my grapes and drank my juice, my uncle took my blood sugar again. It had gone up by almost 20 points. I felt like I needed to go to the hospital to make sure the baby was ok, and Kris wanted me to go. But first I went back into my uncle's house and had some more to eat. I called my doctor's office and they told me to go to the hospital. So my uncle took me. I told the hospital staff that I was 15 weeks pregnant and that I was told that I had some sort of seizure. There they took blood, took urine, and hooked me up to an IV. They also did a fetal heart rate, the baby's rate beat was 158 bpm. Which was good and it was still kicking. They said that from my urine and blood tests they discovered that I was dehydrated, had a bladder infection and that most likely what caused me to go down like I did was the blood sugar since I had not eaten or drank anything in about six hours. So they gave me some fluids and antibiotics and sent me on my way. It was not exactly how I had planned my Friday night, nor how I thought of Chelsey and I's reunion turning out. Poor Chelsey...she was so scared. Sorry I put you through that girl. :D Love ya. and thank you and my Aunt Kathy, Aunt Tat and Uncle Ralph for taking care of me. You are all angels.

SOOOOOOOOOOOO, I am pregnant!!!! Due in the middle of September. I am super excited but for some reason it just doesn't feel real yet. I went to the doctor and we had a sonogram, and there is indeed a baby this time, so I just don't get why I feel this way. I most definitely feel pregnant, I have awful morning sickness and my body is different. I guess this time around it might take me feeling the baby to really believe that it is there or something. Is that bad? Hope you are all doing well. Let me pick up where I left off in October...In my last blog I said that was pregnant with baby number two...not too long after I posted that blog, we found out that I had an infertile pregnancy where everything formed except the baby....I had to have a DNC on the 26th of October. Two weeks after that, I had a small case of depression but I got over it. We moved to Euless at the beginning of December into a house that we love, we are renting but that is fine for now. My body went back to normal by the middle of December.... We had a busy Christmas season...having moved into a new house, we were starting to stress about how we were going to afford Christmas presents for everyone. Two weeks before Christmas, I was listening to the radio and they were looking for caller twenty....I was caller twenty and I won $1000.00 I was so excited. We got Christmas taken care of. We went to Amarillo for Christmas and had our three Christmases here in Dallas with Kris's family and our own. Aiden got lots of new games and toys. So things are good now, we are all doing well and we are starting the new year off great... Hope all is well with everyone. I am sorry it has taken so long for me to write another blog. Things have been crazy around here. Back in August I was hired to work at the YMCA to watch kids and there were going to let me bring Aiden to work with me. Well here it is October and I have not started the job yet. They keep giving me the run around and they never return my phone calls. So I am thinking, nevermind on the job thing because we just found out that we are pregnant! My first sonogram will be on the 15th of this month and I will know for sure when my due date is, but I used an online due date calculator and it says I am due on June 6th. I am super excited and I am really wishing and hoping for a little girl cause I want one so bad. Aiden keeps saying he wants a baby sister. I told him the other day, I said, would you be ok if you got a baby brother instead, he said yeah, but I really want a baby sister. He is getting to be such a big boy. He has gone over a week without having any accidents while taking a nap. He is potty trained in the day and during nap but we have not started on overnights yet. I know I need to now that I am going to be having another baby. Kris is still loving his job. No complaints yet. We are still in the apartment behind Kris's mom's house. It is working for us for now, and we were hoping to be out by Christmas, and we are trying but it might take longer. We will definately have our own place before the baby comes, whether it be a rent house or one we will own. Aiden wants to be Spiderman for Halloween. He keeps going around pretending to shoot webs and we got him a spiderman candy bucket and it comes apart on the bottom, he keeps putting on his head like a mask. He is so funny. Well I hope all is well with everyone.

It's been a while hasn't it. I'm sorry it has been so long since I wrote a blog. Things have been kinda crazy around here. Well let's see, the last time I blogged, I still lived with Kris's mother and we were working on our apartment. Well from there, we have moved into the apartment behind his mother's house and made it our own little space. It is about as big as our house was in Amarillo. It has one bedroom but it also has a another room that we made into Aiden's bedroom. It is about the size of his bedroom in Amarillo 10x10. Good sized for a two year old. Aiden is in the process of potty training. It has been a challenge and a long one at that. He only wears diapers at nap time and bedtime. Any other time he is either wearing big boys underwear or pull ups but he tends to use the pull ups like diapers so I try not to let him wear those too much. When we are at home he pretty much runs around without anything on and that helps him realize he needs to go the toilet to go potty. All other mothers that I have talked to about potty training said it only took two weeks to train their kids but we have been doing this for a couple months. Does anyone know of any techniques that I could try. I have done the reward thing where if he goes in the potty he gets a toy or a candy and we tell him that when he does go in the potty that he is a big boy and that we are proud of him but when we go out places he won't tell me that he has to go, he just does it in his pants. I am constantly asking him "do you need to go potty?" and he tells me no but then goes in his pants two minutes later. It is getting pretty frustrating. Kris is still liking his job and really likes that they value him and his opinion on things at work. I am glad that he is happy there and doesn't fret going to work everyday. Our house in Amarillo is pretty much sold, the closing date is May 6th. We had to make a few more repairs after the inspector went and checked things out. He found termites under the house and he found a beam under the house that needed to be replaced, so we are going to get that taken care of. I think that we have decided to pay on some debt that we have accumulated since we have had to fix up the house with the money that we get from selling the house, and after we use up all that money on the debt, we will still have a little bit more debt to pay off, and after that, I think we have decided to rent a home instead of buy one. In the last six years we have been home owners, it has been nothing but fuss and grief and we want a different pace. We will see what happens. I have begun cross-stitching as a hobby. It keeps me busy when I am not cleaning house and taking care of Aiden. I think Christmas presents from me will be things I make, so that will be fun. Let's see, Kris, Aiden and I are going to Ponca City next weekend for my grandmother's birthday. I will be glad to see her. Two weeks after that I will be flying to California for my brother's graduation and wedding. Aiden will be staying with Kris's stepmother and Dad when he is at work and then Aiden will stay with Kris in the evenings and the weekend that I will be gone. I know I will miss Aiden and Kris terribly but I am also looking forward to some me time. I haven't been away from Aiden for more than two days and those two days were after I had surgery and I was sleeping for most of those two days anyway. I have made some awesome friends here in Dallas since I moved here. I met a nice girl and her fiance and son at a park and we hit it off. She is six months pregnant with her second child and has a four year old son that Aiden plays with a lot. Kris gets along real well with her fiance'. Kris and I are still on Weight watchers, and I have been stuck for a while now, but Kris is still doing well. He has lost about 115 pounds and I am around fifty. Above is a picture of Kris in his Kilt. We had to have it altered quite a bit for him to fit it again. The last time he wore it he was almost 400 pounds, you can see for yourself how well he looks in it. I am so proud of him. Well I think that is all I have for now. If you would like my new address call my mom or my cell if you have the number. I hope everyone is well and that all you mothers out there have a wonderful Mother's Day.
Love to all,
Lindsey

Well here we are in Irving Texas. We have been living here for three weeks. We moved in with Kris's mom and have been staying in her spare bedroom. In these three weeks though, we have been fixing up a one bedroom apartment that his mom has in her backyard that her mother lived in until she was putting in a nursing home. It was such a mess when we got started. In one week of cleaning out the place, we put out over 100 bags of trash. After cleaning out what we could, we bug bombed the place. Next we started painting the entire interior of the house. We have gotten the majority of the painting done but now have to do the trim. After we are done with the painting, we are going to bug bomb one more time and then clean really well before we move in. Kris is liking his new job pretty well. The job has pretty flexible hours so he can go in early and leave early if he wants to. Aiden is doing well. I think he likes living with his MEME cause they watch movies together and play together. When we lived in Amarillo, when he wanted to go to the gym, he would say Kids, but since we moved here, we have not gotten a gym membership, until yesterday and before yesterday Aiden would say kids everyday. So we got a membership so he can see kids again, and so we can keep up our weight loss. Kris has lost 110 pounds and I have been back and forth between fifty and sixty pounds. We have not had much luck with selling our house obviously. There was an open house a couple of weeks ago and my realtor said that only the neighbors came to see the house because they wanted to see what we had done to it. For Valentines, Kris took me to Red Lobster and I had crab, and he bought me some really pretty earrings from Kay Jewlers, and then we went to a movie. I bought him a couple of things, I got him a programmable coffee maker and a new keyboard and mouse set for his work computer. Well that's all I have for now. Oh, and for me, I am really home sick and miss all of my friends and family very much. Take care, love to all.
Lindz

Well.....My husband got a new job for Neman Marcus in Dallas and he starts work there on February 4th....which means, we are moving to Dallas in three weeks. This is a major thing for us. But we are doing it for our family and to help better our situation. I have never lived further than 20 miles from my parents before and I am going to miss them so much, and I hope that they understand why I have to move. It is just tearing me up inside to know that I am leaving all of my friends behind. But I say to myself, if they are my true friends, they will keep in touch and we will take turns visiting one another. Both of Kris's parents live down there, so we have that family support, and I have an aunt and uncle who live there too. This will help me majorly with this transistion. I don't know if I could do it if they weren't there for me. We will be moving in with Kris's mother for a while until our house sells, and when it does, we will be buying our own home close to Kris's job. We will be keeping our current cell phone numbers, so that everyone can still get a hold of us. If you don't have those numbers and you want them, send me a message and I will get that to you. Take care everyone. Wow how the year has gone by so fast. Aiden is growing up so much and so quickly. Everyday he says or does something new to show me that he has learned a new thing or picked up something from someone. We were at the grocery store a few weeks ago, and I was pushing Aiden in the shopping cart and Kris was following behind us, and Aiden and I turn a corner and Kris stayed a bit behind to look at something, and Aiden yells out, "Dad, hurry up!!!" No idea where he picked that one up, but it was so funny. We are slowly working on the potty training thing. He does ok when he is not wearing a diaper and we just letting him walk around the house without anything on, but even if we put underwear on him, he thinks it's a diaper and he does his business in them. Does anyone have any potty training tips you can give me? Kris is still at Hastings. I am still at Hastings. We are doing alright for the most part. We are still continuing on our weight loss journey. I have lost 50 pounds since April, and Kris has lost 95 pounds. It is really working out well for both of us, we feel so much better. My Granny died in November, and I was real upset about that. I could have gone to see her before she died, but I wanted to remember her from the last time I saw her, she was happy, and healthy, and she knew who everyone was. I miss her so much, but I know she is in a better place with no pain. I bought a new car back in November, the blazer was just braking down way too much. It had one hundred and seventy thousand miles on it. So now we are the proud owners of a 2007 Pontiac G6. It is a nice car. So, most of you may know that back in July, I went to the emergency room in an ambulance due to severe stomach cramps, back pains, and vomiting, and they told me that it was a flu. Well, since that day, I have had four more attacks of the same symptoms. So I went to my doctor and told him what was going on, and he said that it sounded like my gallbladder. I went and had an ultrasound done and sure enough, I have gall stones. I met with a surgeon on Wednesday last week and he scheduled me to have gallbladder surgery on December 28th. It is a day surgery, but I will be out of work for a week or so. Hopefully I will have a quick recovery. Please pray that all goes well. We are going to Dallas on Friday for Christmas and coming back Wednesday and then my surgery is Friday, so busy week ahead of us. I hope that all of you have a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year. Please keep in touch and let me know about any potty training tips you may have.
Love
Lindsey

Wow, here it is September. Aiden is two years old. I love him so much. Lately he has been doing the terrible two thing. Drives me and Kris crazy. But at the end of the day, as we watch him sleep, it hard to believe that we could ever be mad at him. He is the most precious thing to us and we love him so much. I shaved Aiden's hair the other day. The last time I took him to get his hair cut, the guy who did it, kinda made it choppy. So I took the clippers and made it all one length. He looks way different, but he is still cute.

Well, we have listed our house for sale. We want desperately to sell this one so that we can move into a bigger house, so that we can have more children. So if anyone knows anyone who wants to live in Amarillo, and is looking for a little two bedroom house, give em my number. You can see the house listed on http://www.erasells.com/buyers.html. We have not had any lookers yet, but it was barely posted on the internet two days ago. I am still working at Hastings, and so is Kris. We are still on weight watchers. The best thing we could have done for weight loss. I have lost 42 pounds and Kris has lost a little over 70 pounds. I am so proud of him and he of I. We plan on contining our weight loss journey until we reach our goals of 160 for me and 225 for him.

My best friend here in Amarillo, Taylor, just got married. I was the maid of honor. I am very happy that it is all over with. It was so stressful to prepare for, and I am so happy that she is finally married to the man of her dreams. Love ya TAY! The wedding was beautiful, but the bad thing was that the groom's parents were two hours late for the wedding and he refused to start until they showed up, so that put a lot of people in a bad mood. But when they finally did get there, it was a beautiful ceremony. Well, that is all that I can think of for now. Everyone take care and leave comments.

Love ya

Lindsey

Night in the Emergency Room.

Well let me tell you about my exciting night last night. I had just gotten home from Canyon. I was feeling fine. Kris had just left to go back to Canyon. All of a sudden, my stomach starting hurting really badly. I thought that if I threw up, I would feel better. It just got worse. It was so painful. I was comparing it to child labor. This was worse than that. I called my dad and told him I felt like i was dying. He called my husband and then Kris called me. He told me he was on his way back home but asked if I needed to call the ambulance. I told him no, but as soon as i got off the phone with him, I called 911. I felt something was terribly wrong. I had never experienced pain like this before. The pain started going into my back. The 911 dispatcher told me help was on the way and to unlock my house doors so the Ems could come in. I tried throwing up again. Still no relieve. When the ems got there, I could barely talk or breath the pain was so intense. I didn't know what was wrong with me. They were there about five minutes and Kris came home. He said that my dad was on the way to come and watch Aiden. When Kris did get home, it was time for me to load into the Ambulance. When I went out onto my front porch, I was surprised to see all the my neighbors in the neighborhood outside watching to see what was going on. My dad had still not arrived, but one of my neighbors offered to stay at the house and watch Aiden. He was in his bed sleeping while all of this was hapenning. They loaded me up on the gurney and put me in the Ambulance. Kris went ahead of the Ambulance to get me registered in the hospital they were taking me to. On the way to the hospital, the ems was asking me questions on my pain level, on a scale of one to ten, i was at a ten. About half way there, the pain started to let up. When I got to the hospital I could breath again, after they had given me some oxygen. I was put into an exam room. Kris came in about five minutes after I arrived. By this time, my pain level was at a three. The doctor came in and examined me a bit. He said that it was not anything too serious. He said that there had been a bug going around in amarillo that I may have caught. It comes with different symtoms. One of which was very intense intestional cramping. Which is what i had along with vomiting. They gave me two shots in my hips, one for nausea and the other for the cramps. I had to stay another hour for oberservation after they gave me the shots, but then they let me go home. It was a crazy night, one that i will never forget. They pain I will never forget. But I am doing alot better now. Still a little queazy, but not vomiting like on the exercist. Haha.. Hope everyone is doing better than me.
Love to all
Lindsey

It's been a while.... Sorry it has taken me so long to update my blog. Things have been so busy these past couple of months. Let us see. In March, Kris, Aiden, and I went to San Diego California for our little vacation. We went to visit my brother, cousins, and Aunt and Uncle. We also visited San Diego Sea World, went on a whale tour, San Diego Zoo, Hollywood, and Balboa Park. We had a fun time. Towards the end though I got sick. By the end of the week, I was ready to come home though. Aiden is growing like a weed and is getting smarter and smarter each and every day. I can't believe he will be two in July. It kills me how fast he is growing up. I don't know what I will do when he starts school. I love him so much. On April 1st, Kris and I started Weight Watchers. It has been working well for us. More Kris than me, but we are both losing weight. To date, Kris has lost 16 pounds, and I have lost 8 pounds. When I look at Kris, I have noticed that his tummy is smaller. I am so proud of him. On April 10th, my little sister Beth gave birth to her first child Emily Louise. She was 6lbs 4 oz and 19 inches long. She is so beautiful. I will post a picture for those of you who have not seen her yet. Aiden has been so good with her. Whenever he sees her, he will try and give her a bottle or her pacifier. The other day, my mom was watching him interact with Emily and she turns to me and says, " He's ready". I already knew that, but financially we are not ready for another one. I want so bad for Aiden to be a big brother, but I also want so bad for us to have a larger house for a larger family. Hopefully not too much longer though. I am still working at Hastings. They have cut everyone's hours though, including mine and I am only a GSM on Fridays now instead of everyday. Kris is also still with Hastings. A few weeks ago, he applied for another position in his department, but unfortunately, was turned down for the job, being as three other applicants were more qualified than he was for the job. He was bummed for a couple day. For our birthdays, Kris and I bought some bicycles. We also bought Aiden a baby trailer to attach to our bicycles. We have been out riding every weekend that the weather allows. This past weekend, we had some wicked weather. A tornado tore through a town that I used to live in, destroying the store that my father worked in to support us. It kinda sucks. I saw some pictures of overall damage to the town, it was not pretty at all. I pray for all those people who lost their homes and businesses, and ask that you will too. Thanks so much. Anywho. That is all for now. I hope that all is well with everyone, and please leave comments. Love to all Lindsey

Well here it is March already. My birthday is in two weeks and life is crazy right now. Aiden is getting so big and so smart. He tries to say everything we tell him to say. He runs, not walks, but runs. I took him to the doctor yesterday because he was sick and he weighs 31 pounds. He just had a cold. He is better now. Kris is studing some stuff to try and get promoted at work. He has to take two tests and he has already passed one, and he has one more to go. Let me see. In February, we went to Plainview for my best friend Holly's son's birthday party. Aiden had fun. The party was at the Mcdonald's playplace. I used to watch Holly's son Colton when he was first born, and now he is a year old. As you can see in the picture, the boys like each other. I had a baby shower for my sister Beth last weekend. It was a good turnout and she got a lot of really cool stuff for her baby. My Church that I go to burnt down Monday morning. They don't know what caused the fire, but the church was destroyed. I am upset about that. Aiden was baptised there. My brother got hit by a car while he was riding his bike. He is ok, but his bike isn't. Lauren's car broke down and she ended up in the emergency room with abdominal pain. She is fine. Beth is still pregnant and getting anxious about the baby. My dad got promoted at his job and starts his new job on Monday. I am happy for him. Mom is just doing the same. Me, Kris and Aiden are going to California next weekend to visit my brother and Aunt, Uncle and cousins. It will be a one week vacation for us. During our vacation we will be celebrating Kris's birthday the 10th, our Five year anniversary on the 10th and my birthday on the 15th. I am excited about the trip. Back in January, we went to Dallas and my mother in law paid to have my nails done. I got the solar nails. She said I had to keep them until she came up to see us in April. I still have them, I just got a new set cause the first set was looking pretty choppy. Well I believe that is all I have to say for now. Take care and love to all.
Lindsey

Wow, a year and a half has gone by since my little man was born!!! I can't believe it. Kris keeps saying, " I can't believe that our son is no longer a baby, but a toddler now!" Christmas was very busy for us. It started on Dec 3 when we went to Dallas. We had Christmas with Kris's dad and stepmom. Then we had Christmas here at our house on Christmas eve, and the Christmas with my parents on Christmas day. We are going back to Dallas on Jan 20 for Christmas with Kris's mom and stepdad. On my last blog, I think I mentioned that I got a promotion. That is going well. My training is pretty much complete. Um, Aiden is learning many new words. The other day he said Dallas. He hasn't said it since but both Kris and I were witnesses to him saying it. And yes, we were sober. Ha ha. My brother flew in from California for new years. That was fun and Aiden and him had a blast. Aiden got so many toys for Christmas, I told Kris that we would have to get rid of the dogs to fit all the toys in the house. He wasn't going for that. Kris, Aiden and I are playing a weeks vacation in San Diego California for our birthdays/anniversary in March. My brother lives there and we got free plane tickets with our rapid rewards through Southwest Airlines. We have lots of activities planned for that week. Seaworld, and San Diego zoo are a couple of the places we plan on going, and then Kris found a Whale tour in the Ocean for a really good price. We will also be going to Hollywood. I am most excited about that. Well I think that is all for now. I am going to enclose a pic of Aiden wearing bubba teeth and one of him in the bathtub. Take care. Sorry it has been so long since I posted a new blog. Things have been crazy busy for us. Since the move of our store, work has been really busy. We have a lot of new business coming in, and our store is much bigger which means it takes a little bit more time to close it at night. This also means bigger opportunities for me. I got promoted this week to a team leader at my job. I start training for my new job next week. I am really excited about this and look forward to learning new things. Aiden is growing like a weed. I am not for sure how much he weighs but I know it is more than 26 pounds. He is a very picky eater which is making me go crazy. He won't eat anything healthy except for fruit. And the only veggie he will eat is a potato. I took him to get another hair cut a couple of weeks ago. We also had our family pictures taken the same day for our Christmas cards. I think that they turned out quite nicely. I won't get them back until next week sometime. Kris is doing good. He is keeping busy at his job as well. We are going to Dallas next week for a visit with Kris's family. I am looking forward to that. I didn't take any time off from work for that though, so we will only be staying there from Saturday till Monday and then Monday night I have to go back to work. We will see how all that dishes out. The day after Thanksgiving, I got up really early to go shopping. It was an awesome experience and I got everything that I set out to get. Although the lack of sleep caught up with me. I was awake for 22 hours on Friday and it kicked me in the butt. Out of the deal though, I found Kris a pair of Nike shoes for 20 bucks and I got Aiden some awesome toys. Well, I think that is all for now. I hope that everyone is doing well. I hope to hear from all of you soon..
Love to all.
Lindz

LIFE!!!!

Hey Peoples. Just writing about what is goin on in my life right now. At work, we have closed the store that I work in and we are moving into a new and improved store. It is pretty awesome and I am excited to get to work in this new store. We will be re-opening on Friday. I can't wait. I only worked for three hours yesterday so I think I may have to work on my day off so I can get some hours. Me and my family are going on a trip to OKC next week and I need the money to get me there ( or to pay for my hotel room). Every one that I work with are awesome. I could not ask for a more happy environment to work in with such wonderful people. Aiden is good. He went to the doctor last week for his 15 month check up and had two shots. He weighs 26 pounds and he is 32 inches tall. We also had his pictures taken. They turned out really cute. Um, life is good, work is good, my hubby is good. Can't get better right now. Love to all.
Lindz

Fourteen Months!

Wow. Has it really been that long since I brought this beautiful baby boy into this world? My life has changed so much since then. Experiencing the joys of motherhood and also the not so joys : ) I love beening a mother, and I can't believe the love that I have for Aiden, it is just so overwhelming. Since my last blog, I have been working at Hastings. That is going pretty well. I have made lots of new friends at work. About once a week after we close, we all go to Denny's and eat and socialize with one another. I like socializing with people my age. Kris has been helping me out with some of my chores around the house. For about a month, I was doing ALL of the housework, cooking dinner everynight, taking care of Aiden and going to work Monday thru Friday. I was so exhausted. I talked to Kris about it and he took it surprisingly well. I asked him if he would split the chores with me. So now he mows the lawn once a week and does the dinner dishes every night. I could not ask for a more supportive, loving, caring man as my husband. He is an awesome Father too. He loves Aiden so much and Aiden loves him back. My life could not be any more perfect than it is right now. Thank you God. We went to Dallas on Labor Day weekend. I got to see my Aunt and Uncle in Fort Worth and they took me, Aiden and Kris to Church. Then we got to see Kris's Parents and his Grandmother. We also took Aiden to get his very first haircut. We found this little place in Arlington called Kazaam's kuts for kids. It was perfect. I put some pictures of Aiden's hair before and after on the top of this blog. Cute isn't it. Another thing going on in my life is, I have been trying for two months to get a mole removed from my face next to my nose. I thought it would get removed today when I went to the doctor but all they did was looked at it and told me to reschedule for a time that would allow them more time to take it off. So now I have to wait until September 25th. I am getting frustrated with it. Kris is doing well. He has had some problems at work, but he is alright. Well I think that is all for now. Everyone keep in touch. Love Lindsey

One Year old plus!!! Well, we survived Aiden's first birthday. On his actual birthday, July 12th, we went over to my parent's house and threw a little party for him. I baked a cake and he had lots of presents to open. He loved his cake though. He dug right in. On Saturday the 15th, we had a birthday party for all of Aiden's friends and our friends. We went to a park that had an outdoor gazebo. We decorated it all nice for him, and I bought him a Winnie the Pooh birthday cake. We had a great turn out. There were about 20 or more people there. Kris's mother flew in from Dallas for the occasion as well. He had his own little cake that we got at walmart when we purchased the Winnie the Pooh cake. He ate most of it and a lot of it ended up all over his little body. He got lots of new outfits that are just adorable on him and he got lots of toys and books. Well, I have not told many people about this yet, but I got a job. I was hired on Aiden's birthday to work for Hastings Entertainment, (the company that my husband works for). I work from 6 p.m. to about midnight during the week. I was getting bored staying at home all the time. So I figured, if I work at night, I will only be missing out on about two or three hours with Aiden and then he goes to bed. Me working also gives Aiden and Kris quality time with one another. They have a closer bond now that I noticed. Kris comes home from work around five twenty and I have dinner ready. We all sit down at the table for dinner together. Then I go to work at six. Me working is also going to help us pay some debt so that we can move into a bigger house so we can have more kids. Our plan is for me to get pregnant again next fall (2007). I have been working for two weeks now and I like it ok. It gets me out of the house and I get to meet new and intersting people. I love to socialize. Aiden is walking everywhere now. He never crawls anymore. He is actually trying to start running and it is usually away from me. He is soo cute. Baby walking is adorable. Right now I think that Aiden is teething again because he is having some problems in his diaper and has a really bad rash. We will get through it though. Labor day weekend we are going to visit Kris's family in Dallas. Aiden has not seen his Granddad and Grammie since April. So that will be fun. If you want to see more pictures of Aiden's birthday party go to this web-site....http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=999&gid=10057426&uid=4868672
Well I think that is all that I have for now. I hope everyone is doing well. Oh!!! One more thing, I am really curious as to how many people actually view my blog, so if you could send a comment or me an email and just let me know, that would be great. Love you guys.
Lindz

I feel like he is growing up so fast. It seems like just yesterday that my son was born, and placed in my arms for me to love, and take care of. Now, in less than a week, he will be turning one. He is becoming so independent. He took his first steps on June 29th. That was a big thing. He still prefers crawling, but I have noticed that he will walk from one couch to the other by himself without us urging him to do it. He is becoming so smart too. He likes to play peek-a-boo. He will take a towel and cover up his face and keep it covered until I say, " where's Aiden?", then he will remove the towel and giggle when I say, "Peek-a-boo". His favorite word is ball. He loves to play with balls. Kris will toss him the ball and he will toss it back. Man! He has grown up so fast. He was so tiny when he was born. He could not do anything but look cute. But now look at him. I want to experience all of his firsts as a toddler before I bring another miracle into this world. I love him so much, and I know that he loves me because he shows it. He will give me hugs and kisses, and sometimes just lay his head down on my shoulder and pat my back. He is a very affectionate little boy. Not one mean bone in his little body. Well, I guess I will just have to live with that fact that he will not be a baby forever and that I need to let him grow up eventually, but it is sooo hard. He is eating more and more grown up foods now. He has had pancakes for breakfast the last two days. Yesterday, we went to I-hop for breakfast, and we ordered Aiden his own plate of silver dollar pancakes. We have never ordered him his own food from a restaurant before, we always just shared what we were eating. AHHH. Well that is all for now. My baby is growing up.

Half Past JUNE!

Hey Everyone. June so far has been a busy month. I have quite a bit to talk about today. Some of what I have to discuss is stuff I left out last month, but most of it is from this month. To start off, we got Aiden broke from the pacifier the middle of May. When we went to Oklahoma for my Grandmother's birthday, I took the binky with us, but he never used it, and he has not used it since. If I gave it to him, I'm sure he would use it, but he is doing fine without it. I am pretty proud of him and myself for being so strong without it. Next topic on my list is the cutest thing. Aiden was playing with one of our cordless phones one day. I just make sure that he doesn't push the talk button. Well, I was watching tv while he was playing with the phone and then I get a phone call on the cell phone from Kris. I thought it was odd that he was not calling to the house phone. I answered the cell phone and Kris says, " Take the phone away from Aiden." I didn't understand how he knew that Aiden had the house phone until he told me. He said that he was sitting at his desk at work and his phone started to ring, on the caller id, it said "home" so he answered it, "hello Honey" thinking it was me calling him. He listened on the other end waiting for a response from me, but all he heard was some rustling noises, and then he heard, "ga ga ga da da". He said he busted out laughing and had to call me and tell me about it. Aparently Aiden had pushed the redial button and then talk, it called Kris at work. Ha Ha Ha. I still laugh about it. Next topic on my list is last week little boy got sick again. He was running a temp of 103.2. At first I thought it might be because he got in another tooth last week and he is working on one more on the bottom. But the next day, he was still feverish and he was acting very cranky and that is just not like him. He is usually a very happy baby all the time. So I took him to the doctor. Turns out Aiden got Strep throat. Yucky!! They gave him a shot of penecillan and the next day his fever was gone and he was back to his old self. I am thinking that he keeps getting all these nasty sicknesses from the Nursery at the gym. I am not sure if they clean the toys that he puts in his mouth. I think I am just gonna stop taking him there for a while and let his immune system build up a little more. We have been trying to work on Aiden and his walking. He is getting better. We have been working with him everyday for like the last week cause he needs to learn it. My sister bought Aiden a little swimming pool for his "11 month birthday" is what she called it. He has been in it twice and loves it. I put him in a little baby innertube and he is taller than the water level so he walks around the pool. It is big enough for me to get in it too. We got in it today and had a blast. Well Aiden will be one year old on July 12th. I am going to have a birthday party for him probably on the 15th for all of his friends and my friends to come and join us. I will have a family party on his actual birthday. Well, that is all that I have for now. I hope that everyone is doing well. Have a wonderful rest of June. This month of may has been so crazy for us. My social calendar is overbooked. Graduations, weddings, birthdays gallore. Aiden has been feeling well since our last blog. He got better after a week from my last post. He is teething some more because he drools constantly. I have to keep a bib on him so he doesn't soak his shirts after wearing them for only five minutes. He LOVES Cheerios. He eats them non stop and when he has finished what I have given him, he reaches for the Cheerios box. He is silly. He still is not walking, but every now and then he will stand for a few seconds without hanging on to anything. On May 13th, we went to Oklahoma City for my Grandmother's 80th Birthday and for my Cousin's College Graduation. The last time we took a road trip that long, Aiden was four months old I think, and it was not a pleasant experience on the way back. He was tired of being in the car and he let us know it. Well on the trip to Oklahoma this month, it was actually quite pleasant. My sister sat in the back seat with Aiden and kept him occupied for five hours. He took a nap for a couple of those five hours. It was great. While we were in Oklahoma, Aiden got to see most of my mom's side of the family. He got to meet my Aunt Ev from California for the first time. I think he had already met everyone else. He was the center of attention most of the time. Everyone wanted to hold him and he was eating it all up. On our way back home from Oklahoma, Aiden did well again. He slept for about three hours on the way back. We had a good time. Today, Aiden and I rode on the Amarillo Transit for the first time. We went downtown to the library. I was looking for some audio books on cd, but they didn't have anything interesting. So we came home. At Aiden's nine month check up he weighed 18 pounds 10 ounces and he was 28 inches tall. He is learning to wave hi and bye. He has a different way for each hi and bye. It is so cute. Well, I think that is all I've got for now. David is coming home tomorrow. Beth is graduating on Friday. I will let you know how all that goes. Love to all.
Lindsey

Bad April, bad bad.

Hey everyone. Here is April's report. It was a pretty bad month. The beginning was alright. Aiden is just a cute as can be and growing like a weed. We have started him on finger foods. He loves cheerios and bread. We bought some Apple Wagon Wheels by Gerber. He loves those too. Around April 20th, Aiden woke up with a fever of 103 and diarea. I took him to the doctor. They did a flu test, and a strep test and they both came up negative. The doctor assumed that it was just a virus and that we would have to wait it out and just keep Aiden on motrin to keep the fever down, and to keep him hydrated. The next day we flew to Dallas for my father-in-law's birthday. He had no idea that we were coming. It was a surprise gift for him from his wife Roxcie. He was so happy when he saw Aiden. But Aiden was not too cheerful for the entire weekend because he felt like crap. He was very clingy and still had a fever the whole time we were there. Every now and then, he would go to his Granddad, when Kris and I were not in his vision. We came back to Amarillo on Monday, April 24th. Aiden still had a mild fever, but the diarea had deminished. Wednesday night, the 26th, his fever was almost 104. We debated taking him to the emergency room. We decided to wait until the next morning. I have been babysitting for my bestfriend Holly. Watching her baby boy who is almost three months. That morning I had the little baby and my baby, and we all had to go to the doctor to see what was wrong with Aiden. They did another flu and strep test, and they also did a urine test and a blood test. It killed me to hear my baby scream when they took his blood. Again the flu test and strep test were negative. We left the doctor's office with them only telling us to keep him on the motrin and that they would contact us when they got the urine and blood tests results in. Saturday morning, April 29th, the doctor's office called me and said that they had found some bacteria in Aiden's urine. So they called in a perscription for an antibiotic to clear that up. I started him on the antibiotic on Saturday afternoon. By Sunday morning, he had gotten a yeast infection. It really sucks. My baby is in pain, and there is not a lot I can do for him until he finished the antibiotic and that won't be until May8th. It hurts him to sit on his tooshy, and the antibiotic is giving him diarea which irritates the yeast infection. I hate it having my baby sick. I want him to be happy and comfortable.
He still is not walking but there have been a couple of times where he will be holding on to something and then let go and stand up for at least three seconds. I am so proud of him. He is getting to be such a big boy. At the last doctor's visit, he weighed 19.2 pounds. Tomorrow the 2nd is his 9 month check up. Even though he turned 9 months on the 12th of April. The doctor's office is a little behind. While we were in Dallas visiting my in-laws, my stepmother-in-law bought Aiden several new outfits that he could fit into now. They are really cute. I will post a picture or two. Keep in touch and keep those comments coming. Love to all. You know back in the day when he was saying nothing but Momma momma momma. Well now all he is saying is dadadadadada. I want him to say momma again, I miss it. He is starting to wave bye bye if someone else waves at him. He loves his dada. Something, not a lot of you know, Aiden has had a birth mark on his right shoulder since the day he was born. The birth mark is shaped like the Macintosh apple. Kris has been calling him the I-Kid. You will see why when you see the pictures. We took Aiden to Kris's old job and everyone there saw Aiden's birthmark and just laughed. They are all computer programmers so they thought it was pretty amazing. My parents anniversary party went great. We got to see alot of family. A few of them had never met Aiden before so it was good. Aiden is now 100 percent on the bottle now. I have stopped breast feeding because I was not even close to producing enough milk to satisfy this growing boy. He eats about four 6oz bottles a day and he eats about five or six jars of baby food a day. You won't believe it. After my parents anniversary party, Aiden starting sleeping through the night consistantly. About 10 to 12 hours a night. The first two nights, I would wake up just to make sure he was still alive. He slept through the night for two weeks straight. The a few nights he woke up a couple of times and then again last night he slept for 12 hours. He is growing up to be such a good boy. I love him so much and so does anyone who meets him. Well that is all for now. Love to all and keep those comments coming.

Hey all. Aiden is now eight months old. He has six teeth, four on top and two on bottom. He has started to bite me while I am nursing him. Ouch! I have started giving him a bottle every now and then and during the night, I still nurse him because he doesn't bite when he is sleepy. He is pulling himself up on furniture and walking holding on to things. He is as cute as can be, I don't think that will ever change. I don't have much to report. My parent's 25th wedding anniversary party is today. March 18th. Their actual anniversary isn't till the 21st but I am throwing them a party today. I hope that it all goes well. We have quite a few people coming from out of town. Hope to get a few post comments from ya'll . Take care.
Lindsey

Oh No!!!!!

My baby is seven and a half months, and until now, he has never been sick. I knew something was wrong when he woke up crying after his nap and when I went to hold him, he would not stop crying. Always, when I hold him, he stops crying, but not this time. I felt so helpless. I gave him some baby Tylenol and some gas medicine, but they didn't help. Eventually he quieted down because he got so tired from crying. He went to bed around <st1:time minute="0" hour="21">nine p.m.</st1:time> and then woke up again after <st1:time minute="0" hour="0">midnight</st1:time>. It was about his feeding time, so I started to feed him. He would not eat. He cried and cried. I checked his diaper, and felt to see if he had a fever, but he didn't. He cried for two straight hours. That was torture for me. To not be able to calm your baby down, or know what is wrong with him to make it better. I took him to the doctor this morning. She checked his ears and his lungs. She said that he had a little bit of fluid in his right ear, but it was not infected. I told her that Kris was sick two days ago with his stomach, and I was ill yesterday. After I told her that, Aiden threw up. Tada, we know what is wrong now. He got a stomach bug from Daddy! The doctor prescribed him some decongestant for his ears and some medicine for his little tummy. It is a real bummer to see your baby being sick. The medicine makes him really drowsy, so all today he spent most of the day in his bed asleep. The good news is that he has not tossed his cookies since right before I gave him his first dose of medicine, so we know that the medicine is working for him. Luckily his medicine is Cotton Candy flavored so he takes it willingly. That is all I have to say for now. Hopefully he will be back to his old self in a day or two. Oh, yeah, we also discovered that he is very ticklish underneath his arms. He laughs when we tickle him there. : - )
P.S. My friend had her baby on February 16th at <st1:time minute="58" hour="19">7:58 p.m.</st1:time> he was 6lbs. 11.5 oz and he was 19 inches long. He says Momma still, not Dada yet. He has actually started crawling for real now. Instead of his scooting method he has been using for about a month, he has pulled himself up to his hands and knees and done the real thing. He has also started pulling himself up on to his feet. We had to lower his mattress level on his crib because he can stand up in it. Kris told me that his mother said that when Kris was Aiden's age, he would stand up in his crib, fall out of it head first and crawl into his parents room to sleep with them in their bed. That scared me because I don't want Aiden to fall on his head. Aiden gives great hugs and kisses (to me). When it comes to others, he will just give them the biggest smile he has if he likes them well enough. One thing is for sure.....he loves his mommy. My heart melts everytime I get a hug from my baby and big sloppy kiss from him too. I have started to baby proof the house a little more now that he is crawling. I have put those little plastic plugs into the wall sockets so he does not get shocked. I have put locks on all the cabinet doors and I have put door handle covers on the door knobs so when he starts to walk, he can't open the front and back doors. If he is anything like his daddy when he was growing up, I am going to have quite a time keeping him out of trouble. In this post I am including a picture of Aiden standing up on his learning gym and one of Aiden hugging his puppy Chance.
Love to all. Lindsey
(P.S.) My best friend is giving birth to her first born tomorrow (Feb 16th). I hope all is well with everyone. Aiden and I flew to Dallas on Thursday so that Aiden could meet his cousins on my husband's side. He was such a flirt to every woman he saw on the airplane and at the airport. He has a cousin named Emily who is three and a cousin named Tyler who is seven months. I got to meet Tyler for the first time myself. He is such a cutie. Aiden is six months old now and he is trying so hard to crawl. He does an army kind of crawl but doesn't quite get his tummy off the ground and go. He loves me to death, I can't imagine why. He is starting to be more comfortable around Kris when I have to go and run arrunds with out them. Everytime Kris comes home from work, the smile that comes from Aiden's face when he sees his daddy, could make anyone's heart melt. You can imagine what it does to Kris. He still has not said the word Daddy or Dada. He can say momma when he is crying and every now and then you can hear him say hi. I went and had his six month pictures taken last week. They were so adorable. I have not gotten them back yet. One of the poses is of him in a bathtub with rubber duckies around him and bubbles. It was hard to take his picture because the bathtub was cold and he kept sliding into it so we could not see his face. He is growing up so fast. On today's blog I am including a picture of Aiden and his new cousin Tyler together. They are such cute boys. Anyways. I hope that you all have a wonderful day and keep up on reading my blogs. I really enjoy hearing your comments. Love to all....
Lindsey

Aiden is five and a half months old now. I have been going through all the pictures I have taken of him and looking at the video tape I have taken of him and noticed how much he has changed in these five months. From the day I brought him home to today, Aiden has grown six and a half inches, he has gained nine and a half pounds and he has gotten so much personality to him. He knows how to scoot across the floor, he can hold his head up like a champ, he laughs, he smiles non stop (except for when he is hungry or wet), he plays with his toys, and so much more. It is crazy how fast he has grown up since day one. When he was smaller, we would just watch him sleep. Today while we were taking a nap, I woke up and noticed that he was watching me sleep. He is totally addicted to mommy. He says momma all the time, so much that I actually want him to learn dada haha.

In Aiden's first month of life, we were still getting used to him, and him getting use to us. In his second month he would make new faces and new noises. In his third month he started to giggle and he would move around more and get stronger, I think he actually started rolling over then too. In his fourth month he started to recongnize faces of friends and family members. He also started solid foods, baby cereal, squash, and green beans so far. And now, he does so much. I expect him to start crawling anyday now. Well, I have gotten pretty much up to date, and I will continue to write as he grows and has new accomplishments.

The day I brought Aiden home:
When we got Aiden into the car, and started to drive away from the hospital, Kris was so careful driving. Going slow, trying not to hit any bumps, and watching closely for idiot drivers. When we got him home, we introduced the dogs to our new family member. Sadie was very curious. She wanted to smell him and give him kisses. Chance (being a blind dog) didn't really care that there was something new in the house. I was still very sore from giving birth, so I just stayed in the bedroom with Aiden. My breast milk had still not come in yet the day I came home from the hospital. That first night was difficult. I would wake up every ten or fifteen minutes just to make sure Aiden was breathing. He would not sleep on his back, he would instantly turn to his side and sleep like that. I woke him up every three hours to feed him. The next couple of days were kind of scary. Aiden was not having any dirty diapers, and hardly any wet ones either. We called his pediatrician and asked her what we should do. She said that since my breast milk had not come in yet, we needed to substitute every feeding with one ounce of formula. I would still feed him the colostrum that I was producing but also the formula so that he could get some nutrients. The day after we started him on the formula substitute, my milk came in. Aiden started getting wet diapers and he would only get dirty diapers every three days. His doctor said that it was normal as long as his stool was soft. Anyways. Kris's mom flew in from Dallas the weekend after I had Aiden. I went with Kris to the airport to pick her up and I brought Aiden too. When she came through the terminal and she saw Aiden, she started to cry. She said that he was so beautiful. I let her hold him. While she was holding him, this guy I had never seen before, looks over Mom's shoulder and says, she is a very proud grandma, we sat next to her on the plane and he is all that she talked about. I started to laugh. I did not know who this guy was and it was a relief to know he was not a weirdo googling over my baby. Kris's mom stayed with us for a week. It was so wonderful to have her help. She would do dishes, laundry, and if Aiden just wanted to be held at night, I would let her hold him while I slept. She offered. It was so great, and it helped me heal faster and with more ease not having to do house work. Kris was also home. Two weeks before I gave birth to Aiden, he was laid off. His company that he worked for went bankrupt. It was very stressful for me. We had planned for me to stay at home with the baby and raise him. We sold my car and got things prepared financially to be able to do it. When he got laid off, my heart melted. I was so upset because we could not do what we had planned for me to stay home. He tried so hard to find another job. I will go into more detail about that on my next post. After Kris's mom left, she had left Aiden spoiled. I know they say you can't spoil an infant, but I think he was spoiled because he got held all the time when she was here. And I think he expected to continue to be held all the time after she left. I guess it was ok though. Grandmothers are suppose to spoil their grandbabies. During the first week of Aiden being home, I did get a little bit of the baby blues. I would be holding Aiden, and watching him sleep. I would just start crying. I looked at Kris and told him that I loved Aiden soooo much. I don't want anything bad to ever happen to him. Kris would just look at me and say, "Honey, you are silly, why are you crying?" I know it was silly, but that is what happens. During most of my maturnity leave, I would just find myself watching Aiden sleep. I would stroke his head with his soft baby hair, and put my finger inside his little hand and let him hold it for as long as he wanted to. Having a child and knowing that you made this beautiful miracle from God, is so breath taking, and precious. There is no feeling in the world like the love for your very own child.

The day Aiden was born is a day I will never forget. So far, it was the best day of my life. After the doctor had fixed me all up, I got to hold him, look at him, and love him. The nurse asked me if I wanted my friends and family to come and see him. I asked her to allow them to be in the room for about five minutes because I wanted to try and begin nursing him. When my father saw my baby for the first time, I started crying. The look on is face was so precious, he has instantly fallen in love with my son, just like I had. My mom saw him and thought he was so precious and tiny. My sister was there, so was my best friends Holly and Nora, and I think my brother and his girlfriend were there. After they all left the room, I tried to nurse Aiden. The first time was not very successful. I didn't know what I was doing exactly. They nurse took him to the nursery. Then they moved me to another room, one that would not be so close to the nurse's station (they said it would be quieter down the hall.) I got settled into my new room. I did not know how long Aiden was because they could not measure him till they got him to the nursery. He weighed 7 lbs and 8&3/4 oz. My parents came into my new room, asked where the baby was, and when I told them he was in the nursery, they were gone. They went to go and see him. When they came back, together they said that Aiden was 20 and 1/2 inches long. My dad said he was the most beautiful baby in the nursery. I believed it. The nurses brought him back to me about two hours after I had him. It was so wonderful to see him again. I was in the hospital for two and a half days. During my stay, the nurses would take Aiden to the nursery at night and bring him back to me every three hours for feedings. I was still having a hard time nursing. My next post will be about the day we brought him home.

Giving Birth:

I went to the hospital at 6 a.m. on July 12th. I was so nervous. But I was ready to have my baby.
The nurses started me on petosin around 6:30. They said that I was having contractions, but I did not feel anything. Around 9 a.m. the doctor came in a broke my water. That is when I started feeling the contractions, and that is when I decided to get an epidural. After I got the epidural, everything was good. A few hours after I got it, I started feeling the contractions. I just thought that I needed another dose. After I got the other dose, I was still feeling the contractions. They were very painful. The nurse said that I was having back labor and there was nothing the epidural could do to stop the pain in my back. My front side was still numb. I started pushing around 2pm. That is when I became fully dialated. The baby's head crowned around 3:45 and at that point the nurses told me to stop pushing until the doctor got there. That was torture. I wanted to push so bad. The doctor go there around 4pm and I started pushing again. The doctor barely had enough time to put his gloves on to catch the baby because I was pushing so fast. Aiden was born at 4:17 pm. When he came out, the doctor place him on my tummy, and I held my son for the first time. It was the most precious moment of my life. To hold this beautiful baby that I had created. I was in love. Giving birth is a very painful experience, but after you see your child for the first time, you forget all the pain you just went through to get that baby.

During my pregnancy, everything pretty much went ideally. I only had morning sickness if I didn't eat breakfast right when I woke up. I went to my monthly check ups with the doctor. Everything was great. When I was about 18 weeks, I was able to feel the baby moving. It is a totally cool feeling. My parents would take me to a room with a bed and start feeling for the baby on my stomach. When we went in for my five month sonogram we planned on finding out what the sex of the baby was. I was almost certain that we were going to have a girl because in Kris's family all the girls are born first. When we were in the doctors office and the technician was looking to see what it was, as soon as she said, "It's a boy!" my jaw dropped and I said, "What? Are you sure?" Kris was jumping up and down in his chair. He wanted a boy so badly. Sure enough, there was a little boy part showing up on the screen. When I was about eight months, people at work started calling me the waddler. I was waddling all over the place. I was so ready to have this baby. Two other girls at work were pregnant too and we were all due at the same time. One of the girls delivered her baby three weeks early because she was breech and the amniotic fluid was leaking. So she had an emergency c-section. Two days later, the other girl had her baby because she was about 10 pounds according to her sonograms. So I was the only one left. People kept asking me when I was gonna have mine. All I could say was, " Whenever he feels like coming out". My due date was July 12th. Every Friday before then, I would leave work saying, "See you on Monday, or not". On the 11th, I still had not had him. So I went to the doctor for my weekly check up and he said that I was dialated to a three and had been for three weeks. He said we could wait a little longer or he could induce me. Without question, I said, "Induce me doc, i'm ready for this baby". So, he said for me to come in the next day at 6am to have this baby. I was so happy. We called everyone and let them know we would probably have a baby by the next afternoon. I hardly got any sleep that night. I was so nervous and excited and ready to meet my son that I had waited for, for so long. I will tell you about the birthing experience in my next blog.
Lindsey

From Day One

Hello. This is Lindsey. This is my first post and I would like to start from when my husband and I decided to get pregnant. Kris and I had been married for a little over three years when we decided to try for a baby. It was June of 2004 that I got off birth control. I was so anxious to get pregnant, that I bought at least ten pregnancy tests. Everytime I was more than one day late, I would take a test and it was always negative. One day, my husband's sister called us and told us that she was pregnant with her second child. I was happy for her. Well low and behold, the day that she did call to tell us she was pregnant, I was too. We just didn't know it yet. We tried for four months to get pregnant. The day that I took my first positive pregnancy test was the happiest day for me at that time. I woke up early on November 4th and took a test. Those three minutes that it took to find out were the longest three minutes in the world. When I saw the little positive sign show up, I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. I took the test into the bedroom where Kris was still sleeping. I turned on the light and woke him saying, "Look honey, you are going to be a daddy". He was still kind of asleep and said, "HuH?" I started crying and told him that I was pregnant. He smiled at me and hugged me tight. The first person we called was his mother no more than two minutes after I told Kris. She had just found out a few days earlier that her daughter was pregnant. As soon as I told her, she laughed with Joy and started crying, and I cryed again. Kris just smiled. I hurried up and got ready for work. Before I went to work, I stopped by my dad's work and showed him the test that I had just taken. He looked at me, his eyes filled with tears, and he asked, "You're having my grandbaby?" I started crying again and told him yes. We hugged and cryed together. Then we called my mom. She was still asleep when we called her. Note: I had been playing the games Sims alot, and on that game, I had like 10 children. I said, "Mom, guess what? You are going to be a grandma." She said,"so does this make 11?" I said, "no, mom, I am really pregnant, in real life with your grandbaby." It took us about 20 minutes to convince her that I was really pregnant. I went to work that day and told everyone, and made an appointment with my doctor to have a pregnancy test taken there. I went to the doctor that afternoon. The test was negative! My heart dropped into my stomach. I told the doctor that I had taken a positive test earlier that day. He told me to wait a few days and then we would take another one. I went back to work that day crushed. I had already told everyone that I was pregnant and now there was a posibility that I was not. I went back to the doctor on November 7th and took another test. It was still negative. So we did a blood test. That one came out positive. So, it was offical. I was pregnant. YAY!
